You probably already know this about me, but if you don't, I love James Avery Jewelry. I got my first James Avery ring when I was 12 and I've kept collecting since.
Recently, I was invited to shop at the Peachtree Corners location! I got to pick out some new pieces that mix well with my collection.
So excited to share my newest lapel pin design! I've been wanting to create a sleek Atlanta pin that I can wear. FINALLY got around to creating it. I created the lettering first by hand then adjusted digitally.
In light of the recent passing of John C, Portman Jr. I wanted to share a paper I wrote on my favorite building of his. Mr. Portman truly built Atlanta. The skyline you know and the city we love. I have always wanted to meet him but some things are not meant to be. Rest In Peace. Thankful his designs transcend time. Please note this paper was written in 2014.
Known as one of the most influential and controversial architects of the twentieth century, John C. Portman Jr. not only created the modern Atlanta as it is today, but also built a design philosophy that breathes throughout his works, like the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. In his original architectural concept for the Atlanta Marriot Marquis, Portman expresses his principles and theories of design applied as the function, order and variety; nature and movement; and finally, human participation and spectating.
Was up in NYC back in August for one of my good friend's bridal showers! I was able o see some great Broadway shows while in town: Groundhog Day & The Great Comet. I also finally got to try Cha Cha Matcha- a place that actually lived up to the hype!
A few weeks back, Disney Springs invited me to experience their completed Town Center! I had such a blast shopping, eating, and spot on Disney property that is FREE!
Well the day has come, and my pal Celine from Valhalla Bakery has opened her Doughnut exclusive shop Valkyrie Doughnuts! Let me just say, this is a place where dreams come true. Fluffy pillows of perfectly made vegan dough in square form topped with the most delicious glazes and additions.
On my last visit home to Atlanta I had some fun with my puppy nephew, Wimbley! He's the cutest Mini Goldendoodle I have ever seen. Sometimes I think he looks like a little lamb or a baby polar bear. I had the incredible opportunity to partner again with Igers Orlando and Universal Orlando for WWIM14. I was able to stay at the new Loew's Sapphire Falls Resort and photograph the parks at sunrise, then visit them in the afternoon! I had such an amazing time, even at Horror Nights (If you saw my face in the 3D house you'd say otherwise).
I was so exited to head to Chattanooga recently to find out the gender of her baby! It was a beautiful day filled with lots of blue ;)
Everyone was so excited to find out what Baby Z would be! My guess was a boy and...
It's my favorite day of the year: NATIONAL DOUGHNUT DAY. (obviously) Not so obvious though are the best spots in Atlanta that you donut want to miss!
